Two time Guinness World Record Holder

Most Hair Donated by an Individual (5’1”)

Most Hair Clips on the Head (1,100)

When I was 13 years old, my father asked me to stop cutting my hair with the idea that I could set a Guinness World Record for having the longest hair, and as I became more involved in squash he had the idea that I could set a record as the Longest Haired Athlete. I loved this idea and began growing out my hair. Over the next 18 years my hair grew to 6’3” long, and I became known as the Rapunzel of Pakistan. However, I realized that rather than setting a world record for myself, it would be more meaningful to donate my hair to children who needed it more than I did, so I donated my hair to Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit which creates wigs for children with medical conditions that cause them to lose their hair.

As I prepared to donate my hair I sought out sponsors, which gave me the opportunity to connect with businesses and members of the Northern Virginia community. I hosted a press event in McLean, Virginia where I donated my hair, securing the world record, and giving me the chance to continue building my platform to share my story to members of the local, national, and international media. Now I continue to use my platform to raise awareness for female athletes like myself and for my nonprofit as I work to support children and their families in Pakistan.
